Philosophy

The New Albany Christian Child Care (NACCC) is established as a ministry of the New Albany First Church of the Nazarene and is a non-profit organization. We want to create a program for the children of the community that will provide quality care with a warm, loving, Christian atmosphere.

Purpose

Our "soul" purpose: Caring for God's kids

Goals

One of our main goals is to have a program that will stimulate the growth and development of each child intellectually, physically, socially and spiritually. Each child is encouraged to progress at his/her own rate. We also strive toward giving each child enriched experiences, teaching self-discipline and the ability to make right choices.

What time does the center open and close?

We open at 6:45 AM and close at 6:00 PM.

What forms do I need to turn in each year?

Medical forms, enrollment forms and pick up lists are due yearly. See "Forms" to the right.

When is the tuition due?

Tuition is due on Monday by 6 pm. We ask the parents of children to use the drop box located outside of the directors' office for tuition payments.

Does our family get any credits for sick days?

In an effort to provide a healthy environment, each family will receive 5 floating sick day credits per child for each calendar year. These additional days are offered to you in the event of illness or family emergency. Please notify the office if you would like to utilize this credit. If an extended leave of absence is needed (ie. Hospital stay or illness) please notify the director so that special arrangements can be made. Please notify the office if your child will be absent so that we can keep attendance records current.

Can I set up a direct payment from my bank account?

Yes, you have the option of either paying by cash, check, or you can set up a regular payment directly from your bank account. You will need to complete our ACH form and supply us with a voided check.

Is it necessary to sign my child in and out?

We have the sign in/out paper for the safety of the children. Signing in/out helps keep records of a child’s attendance. The child's teacher keeps the sign in with him/her.

Do I have to pay if my child is not here one day this week?

Tuition is due regardless of center holidays and sick days. Please be advised we will work with you for an extended amount of time off due to sickness.

What about school delays and cancellations?

Our program will operate a full day program for schoolagers when school is closed for vacations, delays or cancellations. The center will stay open unless Franklin county is in a level two snow emergency.

Do I get vacation? When can I take my vacation?

Each full-time family is allotted one (1) tuition free week for their vacation. Any vacations taken past the one week will need to be paid in full. Full-time families are given their free week after 90 consecutive days at the center.

Do you give receipts out weekly?

We would be happy to accommodate you if you need a receipt for any reason.

Is the center closed for the holidays?

Yes, on New Year’s Eve and Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and that Friday, Christmas Eve and Day

Do you really have to check the I.D. of another adult picking up my child?

For the safety of the children at the center we require all our teachers to check the ID of all persons picking up children that are not the guardians. It is important that the pick up list be updated on a regular basis to ensure the safety of each child.
